Back and Lay Dutch Variable Calculator

Q) What is Dutching ?
A) Dutching or Dutch Betting - involves betting on more than one selection in a race or an event in order to cover all bases. For example - betting on the home team in a football match to win but then placing a second bet on the team drawing. By sharing the risk of losing you lessen your profits, but increase your chance of winning overall.

Q) What is Variable Dutching ?
A) Historically, Dutch betting involves calculating your stakes so that whatever the outcome, the profit is equal. With variable dutching, the percentage of profit is adjusted per bet. For example - If you wished to Dutch 4 bets. You could adjust the ratios so that the 2 outsiders break even, and the 2 favorites make a profit.

Screenshot below shows an example of dutching 2 selections to break even and 2 other selections to make a profit. This is an example of variable dutching.
